Kopi Cafe is a long-time Andersonville favorite for grabbing a great lunch (Libido Burrito – yum!) or a delicious beverage (Mexican Hot Chocolate and black iced tea are personal favorites).  Owners Rhonda and Al bill their place as “A Traveler’s Cafe”, and from the European feel to the foreign currency taped up by the cash register to the extensive collection of travel books, Kopi is certainly one of the most international destinations in the neighborhood.

One oft-overlooked but great part of Kopi Cafe is the  Jalan-Jalan Boutique, located at the back of the store.  Rhonda has an incredible sense of style and has put together a great collection of clothing, jewelry, other and other accessories for the traveler or just for your home.  Which of course makes it a great place to find holiday gifts!  Our featured item from the Andersonville Holiday Gift Guide is this adorable Lulumari Knit Top ($48.00), a fun and flirty piece that is both casual yet versatile enough to be dressed up as well.  A perfect gift for your favorite ‘hippie chick’ or the woman in your life who appreciates fun fashion.

Other items featured from Kopi Cafe are a Bronze Buddha statue and a ‘Tree of Life’ Necklace by Roulette 18.

Kopi Cafe & Jalan-Jalan Boutique, 5317 N. Clark, 773-989-5674.  Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am – 11:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 12:00 midnight, Saturday 9:00 am – 12:00 midnight, Sunday 10:00 am – 11:00 pm.  Soon Kopi will also feature a select collection of wine, beer and spirits!

Lots and lots and lots of peaches!

It is hard to believe that we are over 1/3 done with the Farmer’s Market and nearly halfway through with our 20/20 challenge!   Oh well, the good news is that there is still plenty of time to pick up yummy produce and to buy more great stuff in Andersonville (and with the Sidewalk Sale coming up next weekend, there will be lots of great stuff all over the place).  So sit back, relax, and enjoy the staff recap from week 9.
