Perhaps no business that has opened in Andersonville in the past 5 years has been as welcome to those of us who enjoy a good drink (or two) as In Fine Spirits. While mostly known for featuring carefully selected wines at great prices (two tables – one red and one white – feature all bottles for $12 or less), In Fine Spirits also carries a wide selection of the best microbrews in the Midwest (Two Brothers, Three Floyd’s, Metropolitan) and artisan spirits from small producers, such as Andersonville’s own Koval Distillery. So not only is In Fine Spirits a great place to stock up for a holiday party, it is also a treasure trove of gift ideas for those people on our list who appreciate something which can be poured.
Our featured item from the Andersonville Holiday Gift Guide is sure to add a little extra holiday cheer. This very special bottle of Buffalo Trace Bourbon ($29.50) was bottled exclusively for In Fine Spirits from a single barrel after a strenuous morning of tasting (don’t say they aren’t dedicated!). So for dad, an uncle, grandma, or anyone who appreciates a nice brown liquor, look no further.
Also featured from In Fine Spirts is the BYOB Gift Basket and assorted Metropolitan Beer from Andersonville’s Metropolitan Brewery.
In Fine Spirits, 5418 N. Clark, 773-506-9463. Tuesday-Friday, 12:00 noon – 9:00 pm, Saturday 11:00 am – 9:00 pm, Sunday & Monday 12:00 noon – 7:00 pm. Be sure to check out the In Fine Spirits Lounge next door!

Now that we’re recovering from the Andersonville Sidewalk Sale (where we found some great deals) this past weekend, this combined post will catch us up to date on our weekly Andersonville spending (and no, it hasn’t all been at the Andersonville Farmers Market…). See our lists for weeks 10 & 11 after the jump.

We hope everyone had a great time at Midsommarfest and got to indulge in whatever you enjoy, whether it be cold beer, dancing to great music, buying some new jewelry, devouring a bucket o’ fries with all the fixings or just checking out the scenery. Between Midsommarfest ending and the
Farmer’s Market starting this week (!), we have been a little hectic around the office. But not so busy that we couldn’t spend our $20 (and then some!). Here is the staff report for week 4 of the 20/20 challenge (which was technically last week, so look for another 20/20 post this week too!).

We’ve been pretty busy around here getting ready for Midsommarfest (June 13 & 14) and the Farmers Market (Wednesday evenings, starting June 24), but we’ve still managed to get out into the neighborhood and come up with great ways to spend our 20 bucks. Read our lists from Week Two after the jump. Leave a comment to let us know what you did with your 20 bucks this week!
